    Writing Regarding POV

Everyone has their own preference! Whatever feels natural and best for you to write is what you should do :D I personally love third person, it's what I feel I am best at writing. I feel I can give more detail, see more, and do more.

    Thoughts on "unwanted" feedback

I just want to clarify, I don't mind feedback. I think gaining many perspectives on your work helps grow and improve your story to be better. This thought/post stemmed from people not wanting my feedback and being highly aggressive towards me, especially after asking me to give my feedback and...

    Thoughts on "unwanted" feedback

Many times, people post their stories for people to read. Some readers take it upon themselves to critique and make corrections, without asking beforehand. In my experience, this upsets writers at times because they didn't ask to be told what they've done wrong in their writing. I have also had...

is it worth reviving an old story?

I frequently write on and off a lot. I'll jump between projects (mainly due to ADHD), but there's nothing ever wrong picking back up a project you've worked on in the past. Work at your own pace and when you feel like it :)

What is the appeal of vampires?

I'm not sure either, but I am currently creating a vampire character. What I'm doing though is researching the real medical condition that started the idea/myth of vampires. That's going to be heavily the basis of my vampire character and I think it's cool to do :)

    Audio of Chapter 1

Is cooked a good thing? LOL Chapter 1 was 7684 words. Also I am sad, I didn't realize that some of the voice text overlapped each other at 10:51, so sorry in advance to anyone listening.

    Audio of Chapter 1

Ya'll, I had a great idea: what if I used Tik Tok's text to voice on my first chapter? That would give it a good audio that's more realistic sounding and for people who don't want to read can listen to chapter 1. It took me 2 days, 30 minutes per part to make. There were 6 parts. And now, the...

Where do you guys usually promote your stuff?

I use Discord and join servers to make friends and then share my works to get feedback and promotion. Anytime you can build a group of followers on a social media platform, you always want to go there. Me personally, its hard to make a following as I struggle to interact and post consistently.

    Anti-coffee.

If you truly like the taste of coffee, drink decaf. I do. I love the taste of coffee. If it's for caffeine, then yes slowly cutting back will help since caffeine is addictive and causes withdraw symptoms.

How to make a good character?

Personal quirks helps make a character feel real. Everyone has something that's funny and unique that they like, for example: having a tradition they follow religiously, strongly disliking something that makes no sense to dislike, something odd that is extremely liked by this character, etc...

    How to get more readers

I think what also helps is interacting here in the forums! Getting to know people on this website helps create familiarity with one another and you'll eventually make writing friends through discussion and feedback. Also, reaching out and supporting others work will also help in return, that...
