    How to handle dialogue?

The best advice I could give I think, boils down to: - Don't try to give exposition through dialogue. I mean, no, you can totally give exposition through dialogue, but just remember that in a conversation, both parties already know the context of what they are talking about (most of the...

How to handle changes of point of view?

When changing povs in my story, I usually try to make it clear in the first paragraph whose pov we are on. And also use a horizontal line to indicate when things changes. It works for me because my story is told from third person limited. So, whenever I'm describing what some character or...

Writing Is it normal to change pov too frequenly in one chapter??

I wouldn't head hop between paragraphs, that kills the immersion. Also add some sort of indicator, a break line, or something so the reader knows the pov changed. The issue I find with switching povs is that most of the time, the reader is not invested in the other characters apart from the MC...

I think I might be on the beginnings of a burnout

Lack of an outline or plan. Or maybe you wrote something you don't like and now fighting yourself to continue when you don't like the direction the story is going. For the first take a few days to list all the major events until the end of the book or arc, that way you can always refer to that...

    The Fat Elf's Review Emporium

Uff, took me a while, life's been keeping me busy. Hum, this one starts interesting, and it is short enough read that I actually liked. Grammar is also good, even if the style caught me off guard. That said, there are a few things to note. The style is a bit strange, not bad, just different...

    How do I stop procrastinating?

On another note, I find I have trouble writing when I don't know what to write. I've taken to creating goals for each arc, even if I don't think of the small details. For example: Arc N, MC needs to reach X. Whenever I'm struggling to write, I stop and ask myself: What needs to happen for MC...

    How do I stop procrastinating?

You can't. It is inevitable. Jokes aside, disconnect your internet, close your door, sit down and write. If your computer is still distracting you, get a notebook and a pen and write somewhere isolated. Or put music, that helps sometimes.
