Imagine the general setting and premise for your story. No need to be elaborate. Just ask yourself what is your story like/about? Who are the main characters? What are their general personalities like? Etc. Then think of an ending and work your way towards that ending. And remember to have fun...

"Show. Don't tell." Just so you know, people are dumb. Including myself. And some readers can't read and infer and needs to be directly told instead. "Show AND tell." would be a better advice in my opinion

For each chapter, I look at the previous chapter and ask myself how I can proceed from there, then write whichever possible route I think would suit the next chapter. For example, right now, I'm thinking of how I should write my story's MC spar with a big muscular mommy in a gym, for training...
