Alright. Things have settled down a little but I’ll still be working on my 12 arc plan in the meantime. Right now I’m finding progress to be difficult and finding a sense of identity for this novel has been difficult. Will give an update when there is significant progress made.
Choosing to stay offline for while. New job and current money situations have made me too stressed to be creative. Worries are overcoming my creativity and I can’t focus out of anxiety. A lot of IRL stuff need to get sorted out. Stay goated as always and wish you luck in your endeavours.
You know how I was so proudly saying I’d write something dark. Turns out depressing content makes me feel bad. Crazy, right? You’d think I would’ve figured that out earlier. Not that I’m completely revamping what I currently got.
I’ve been inspired by games like Honkai (both) and manga like...
Basically, yeah. You try so hard to write a plan and end up wasting that effort because it bored you to death. Better to just fill it up as you go instead writing a plan you’ll only look at once because you decided the actual thing will be different.
There are those on this site who usually ask how they can plan a story. The usual response varies but I think the problem in these responses is that they are way too specific. Ignoring the dilemmas a Plantser usually experiences when writing.
Plantser’s Dilemma is being too immersed in the...
After considering many elements I created a new magic system based off the themes of legacy and heroism. The latter is less reflected because it’s hard to define it without losing its meaning in the process. I also made it very dependant on choice.

A hero is someone who saved the majority. Those who save themselves or those they care about or are obligated to save because of backlash if they don’t walk the grey line, but there is definitely goodness in those who earn the right to be called heroes.
Oh yeah forgot to mention the story doesn’t have a ‘System’. Only my second novel has that and this prequel I’m working on doesn’t. Thanks for the comment.
Now that the spine of the story is created (or maybe just the bone marrow idk what to define it as), time for me to move onto a step-by-step process where I blog > edit glossary > blog > edit again. Makes thinking a lot easier.
Since there are some who want to actually plan a story but don’t...
I’ve recently realised that once this plan is done, I won’t have any excuses NOT to write my trilogy anymore (with the sequel being The One Being Protected [Magical Girl Urban Fantasy] and the one after that being a high fantasy I still have a lot of love for).
As for why I’m writing this blog...
I’ve since changed a lot of things and will be making a post called ‘Embryo of an Idea’ to explain what I got so far. I finished the novel and read some of the Manwha of The Novel’s Extra.
I thought it would be difficult planning a story with multiple arcs… then I saw a GoogleDoc I forgot about with a lot of backstory of places and events. Currently making a list of the places of where the protagonist will visit in each arc.
It looks like I’ll have to Kill the Darling on the...
Open up GoogleDoc and keep a note on the things you’ve already written and might need. Especially plan the ending beforehand. Once you have a place to go, the rest will fit itself in.
