I smiled as I listened to Lisette recount her previous afternoon. I felt a little embarrassed by the praise she gave for my notes but managed to mask it with a grateful smile.
"I'm sure you'll be able to write better notes with practice. After all, Rome wasn't built in a-- ah, I mean kingdoms aren't built in a day." I felt my cheeks redden over my blunder of giving a saying from my previous life and hoped they hadn't noticed. Isaac looked at me quizzically before asking if he could see my beautiful notes, too. "Ah, you jest! Your notes are basically the same, silly."

Seeing that the red swelling had gone down, I was relieved since it would be a shame for such a cute girl to have a blemish like that. "I'm glad the ointment is helping, then."

Seeing Alba arrive, I smiled at him.
"I slept as well as I normally do: peacefully. How about you, Mr Stahlburg?" I said as we started jogging around the track with the First Year.

I could have sworn I heard Isaac groan upon meeting up with Alba but I must have been imagining it. I noticed him ruffle Alba's hair before saying he slept much better after remembering Alba's smile, whatever that meant.

X
When she heard Isaac ask about seeing her notes, Lisette called out to her senior. "If there's time this weekend, we can all share notes! It could be an excellent opportunity to learn more about one another!" She suggested, and plus it would give them another opportunity to get together.

As they were making there way over to Alba's running form, Lisette's smile twitched, something Veronika said before caught her off guard. She had an appreciative expression on her face but her smile almost made her forget what was just said. Wait what? Did I hear that right? She had reached Alba by now, but she could have sworn she heard Rome. Last time she heard that saying was back on Earth.

Maybe I'm still waking up, I could have heard wrong. Yeah, I heard wrong! Lisette bounced back into her usual disposition. "I slept wonderfully!" She chirped to Alba's question, but heard a slight grumble that she could have sworn was a groan.

Lisette looked to Isaac who had ruffled his snow white hair while they ran. As she jogged, she reached up to her own head almost pouting. She thought, I wonder how it feels to have your hair ruffled like that. Alba's hair must be so soft. Lisette snapped out from that train of thought immediately, her face red now from the thought.
Incidentally on the wall was a poster advertisement for the Trade-Port city that just happened to be named Rome, Named after the man who built it from a tiny hamlet to a bustling Trade-Port.

Ugh, this feeling sucks...

The really-not-morning person woke at the crack of dawn. Tugging on the lesson schedule for Tuesdays, Swir succeeded in unearthing the copy from under a pile of other things --- most of which fell off the table and landed on the floor --- and made an effort to read it through. One line, two lines...the third line caught her attention.

"...Verdammt. Why did it have to be a morning class..."

What followed was thirty seconds of Swir pulling on the bedsheets, dragging herself to the edge of the bed, upon which she proceeded to leverage herself upright---

*Bam*

---and landed face-first on the floor.

"Oof!"

With the help of the pain keeping her somewhat awake, the girl managed to finish tying her hair within the hour (practically a record timing for her) and dragged herself out of the room.

Might as well get some fresh air at the field.

After all, it was not as if she was going to exercise.

Elizabeth learns something new everyday. Today's Indoctrination class has been useful in its own way. It's actually called Religious Education & Theology, but it doesn't matter. They are the same thing. People these days only worship the Goddess of Light.

From the way it sounded, she seems like an entity who have a fetish for second chances and think everyone deserved it. Willing or not.

So, Elizabeth performed the most appropriate action to solve this predicament.

She prayed to the goddess to stop ruining her life.

[A Flashback to an accursed Monday]

“… What do you mean my legistlation got lost! I’m a Seniol this yeal! I made sule it was on file!” Yurei has encountered a rare but serious issue. They can’t find her paperwork. That means she’s locked out of her dorm for the day. Her Parents decided to go run off on an adventure with her little brother so going home wasn’t an option either.

The secretary in the office makes an apologetic expression, They had turned file after file over yet the paperwork was no where to be found. But the paperwork had been marked as submitted leading to both relief and angst in the shorter beast girl.

“… is my Liblaly committee cald still valid at least?”

The secretary ruffles through some documents and makes a hand waving motion. Yurei produces her Library committee card. A few moments later and a stamp after it is passed back to her.

“Yes, your card is still valid, but…”

“… I know no entlance celemony, no Classes… no lunch… only Liblaly Access is bettel than most students.”

The secretary nods. “You can get a temporary class pass until everything gets finalized but the soonest it can take effect is tomorrow.”

“It will have to do.” Yurei lets out a long sigh and her tail droops. It’s the best result of what could have happened at least. She leaves the office having in a fairly down mood and heads to the library. As she enters the library she is welcomed by the smell of the books. Wait. No one took care of the place over BREAK? Her tail fluffs up in irritation as she navigates do the depths of the library. It is a small cozy area, a small secret place passed on by library members to one another. Granted any regular student could find it. But it takes some getting used to.

Rummaging around Yurei finds the cleaning supplies and starts dusting…

Many hours later Yurei finishes with a sigh. She had somehow avoided everyone coming into the library for the day while she cleaned. Her stomach grumbles unhappily and she rubs her belly sadly. It’ll be better tomorrow at least. It is well past 9pm at this point. She nestles into her small lair and falls asleep…

[Tuesday]

Very early in the morning Yurei wakes up and straightens up her outfit as best she could, and for what it is worth anyone who didn’t really pay attention wouldn’t notice her hair was still slightly disheveled, having heavier hair is definitely a plus in this situation. Smoothing out her dress one more time she starts to make her way to the main office to get her schedule straightened out. The sun just barely starts to peek over the horizon as she departs the Library towards the office for her offical schedule, or temporary one. A medium grumble gives fanfare to her departure.

"No you."
A random telepathic message suddenly went into Elizabeth's mind
It seems there was no way to reply as the presence suddenly left as it had suddenly arrived.

The heroine was busy carrying some papers to the main office when she heard a grumble
"Hello! are you headed to the main office too?"

Yurei draws a blank for a moment before looking over to the girl that had addressed her. “Ah… Yes, they lost my legistlation yestelday so I’ll eithel get a tempolaly schedule or my actual one.” Her face reddens somewhat realizing her stomach is likely what caused the girl to notice her in the first place.

“What business did you have ovel thele?” She looks abit closer at the girl and smiles a little. “New student?” She was taller than the heroine… if you counted her ears into her height. She glances up slightly.

Alba sent a death glare at Issac and had a conversation with him through either rolling the eyes or scowling. Of course, Veronika or Lisette wouldn't understand what they are doing.

‘Morning, Mr perfect.’

‘Morning, Mr perfect no.2’

‘No, I’m not. How the heck am I a Mr perfect?’

‘Isn’t that obviously? You already some girls following you around even you only first year. You will follow my legacy well my protégé.’

‘Meh. In your dreams, Issac. Once I spot another Mr perfect, I will toss everything to him.’

‘That’s exactly what I am doing right now.’

‘Grrrrrr’

Alba heard Veronika spilled out some word he remembered from his past life. ‘Rome? I’m not only reincarnated I guess....’ Then he saw a big poster hanging. ‘No bimbo goddess! You cannot trick me with that stupid paper that dancing around in front of me! You definitely want to mess around with a lot of people!'

When she heard Isaac ask about seeing her notes, Lisette called out to her senior. "If there's time this weekend, we can all share notes! It could be an excellent opportunity to learn more about one another!" She suggested, and plus it would give them another opportunity to get together.

'...Beagle...no. Probably Retriever.'

"You're not going to pat her? She seems like she's looking forward to it." Isaac whispered to Alba.

'Shut up.'

"Umu, I'm helping the office secretary with some work~"
The heroine rummaged around in her bag and gave Yurei a tiny wrapped sandwich
"This should tide you over till you get to the cafeteria~"
It was the heroine's snack she has on herself since she sometimes meets busy people with no time to eat.

There were a few other posters that were similar in that they were advertising different cities
Rome was totally a real city in the otome world

Once someone has played the "No, you." card the argument is basically closed. They won.

However, the goddess' brief and unhelpful response confirmed her existence. Elizabeth concluded that the goddess must be an evil entity masquerading as a benign one from the way how she seemed to turn a blind eye at Elizabeth's suffering.

That's it. She won't play whatever the game the goddess is playing. Elizabeth had seen enough. Fortunately, the goddess' sphere of influence doesn't penetrate deep into the mists of the Dreamland.

Elizabeth closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. One more god rejected.

"Let's work hard, okay?" I said with a smile before picking up my pace and going on ahead. It seemed that Isaac quickly caught up to me to match my pace.

The dream somehow turned out to be very boring
But that fact will remain to be a lie in Alba's eyes until he visited the city in the future
And somehow, it seems that his chances of doing so significantly increased for some reason.

As if she had heard her name, she looked up at Alba expectantly. When she looked at him she gave him a bright smile and a cheesy peace sign as she ran beside him.

I smiled, "I think it would be nice to share notes. I'll try and fit it into my schedule."

She would have had her attention fixated on the two boys running, but her attention diverted back to Veronika who stole the show. Lisette looked up to her with a quizzical expression, wondering about the fever. Maybe that’s why she slept so well?

“Fever?” Lisette reached up to her own forehead, not feeling any hotter than before. “Heh, probably just working out too hard.” She laughed, and she noticed her senior matching up to her speed. As her hand went back into a normal jogging stance, she felt the ruffle in her own hair as she patted hers.

Lisette. Was. So. Ecstatic.

She beamed like the sun that rose in the sky. She gave an energetic nod. “Yes! Let’s work hard!” She cheered, a bit louder than she probably should have. Lisette was really happy with the affection and hung by Veronika‘s side as they continued to work out.

Lisette noticed Alba had also looked to that poster from before. As they passed it once more, she called to him. “Did you want to go to Rome? It could be fun!” She chuckled happily. “We could go together!” She thought about all four of them going, but from the way it sounded, it could easily be misinterpreted.

"You can call me Angelica, please to meet you~"
They neared the office and Angelica gave the Office Secretary the papers
She then proceeded to pretend to organize the stack as she wanted to listen in to what they were going to talk about.

I smiled upon hearing Lisette's words, before turning to Isaac and saying, "It sounds like it could be fun." I looked over to Alba and Lisette and shouted over, "Sure! It'll have to be during the holidays, though since I imagine it's far away!"

I glanced at my watch and saw the time was drawing close to the end of morning exercise. I smiled wryly as I was enjoying being in our little group but knew I had to keep to my schedule if I didn't want to fall behind. Motioning to Isaac to slow down, I matched Alba's and Lisette's pace before saying:
"I'm afraid I need to go now. Me and Isaac have a Student council meeting in half an hour. See you later!" I waved at them all before making my way back to the dorm.

Isaac remained behind, though I don't know what he wanted to say or do before he was going to leave.

[OOC: Isaac is still with you both if you want to do anything with him before the meeting. @FenrIIrz @Tessa_Renalds]

'What? Rome is an actual city?' While Alba was still processing the information through his brain, his mouth opened and answered Lisette's question automatically. "Sure. We can go there together... See you later, Veronika. Isaac." 'Ah. I got Archery soon.' Alba decided to run around the field for another lap before going back to his dorm.

Swir observed the people that were currently still on the field. There was a decent number, though it seemed exercise was running to a close (heh) and many were in the midst of cooling down. She'd been observing since she arrived at the field, and while it probably wasn't anything praiseworthy from a normal person's perspective, Swir was amazed.

And what about Swir herself? If one were to mention thus, the answer received would surely be something like this:

"What? Me? Exercising?...Hah! Good one."

In fact, getting to the field itself already tired her out enough. She'll probably be committing suicide if she tried to do laps.

So she just sat at the side, noting down the various people going about their daily mornings. It was rather fulfilling, even if she was to say so herself. Then she spotted Lisette's group finishing up their exercise.

Hmm...I wonder how it went.

Dragging herself up, Swir made for Lisette (@Tessa_Renalds).

Lisette wondered when their next holiday would be when Veronika signaled an end to her work out so she could get to the student council meeting in time. She also would need to start getting ready for her day. ”See you later!” Lisette waved happily to Veronika’s retreating form.

She clapped once to approve of the thought. “Excellent! Okay, I should probably start getting ready myself. I’d hate to be late for Adventuring class.“ When she saw Alba say goodbye to Veronika & Isaac, where the student council secretary gave a delayed goodbye and excused himself. He was a bit aloof now that Veronika had gone, but still was cordial when Lisette said, “I hope you have an excellent meeting Isaac!” She waved as he nodded back to her.

“Don’t be late for your classes, you two.” Isaac left the track field.

Lisette had turned to Alba, who had started his own cool down lap. She would have joined him, but she noticed...

Swir approach her. Lisette stopped her jog to stand by to chat. She waved her hands up and down with energy to spare. “Swir, Swir! Last night I didn’t have any bad dreams! The lavender worked! Thank you!” She greeted with excitement.
