Lisette knew she had been saved the moment he sighed, and bashfully thought: Su-sunflower? Little Sunflower. She beamed at the term of— endearment? Was that what she should call that? It might have been worth the tease for something like this to happened—No, no, no, no, no, keep your head in the game Lisette, for serious, this is an OTOME GAME — but It’s not too bad. Lisette blissfully finished her last bite of fruit with relative ease.

With them only having ten minutes left before lunch ending, she pulled out her schedule from her backpack. “Hrmm, I have Ethics of the Arcane next, and then Combat after that. Sounds like a good way to end the day.” She smiled happily.

“Before we have to head out,” She looked to Swir [ @Bochi ], “How has your first day gone so far Swir? Anything exciting happen to you in class?” She hoped the change of topic would direct the attention away from her.
"I was in bed for the whole morning."

Swir pointed at the bags under her eyes.

"So unfortunately no, unless you count waking up seven times in four hours to be exciting news, unfortunately."

Swir pointed at the bags under her eyes.

"So unfortunately no, unless you count waking up seven times in four hours to be exciting news, unfortunately."

Lisette widened her eyes at that. Swir has difficulty sleeping? She would have mentioned something, but Alba had said his goodbyes.

Lisette waved to Alba’s retreating form. “Okay, Bye Alba! See you Wednesday in class!” She had no idea he had Combat in her same period that day either.

When it was just the two of them at the table, Lisette looked to Swir. “I’m sorry you haven’t slept well. I—uh—I get night traumas so I can understand.” Lisette scratched the back of her neck sheepishly. ”After school, I’m probably going to pass out myself.” She picked up her tray. “There’s a herbal tonic I get from my home that helps me sleep, if I send home a letter, I might be able to get you one as well?“ Lisette offered genuinely.

Swir smiled somewhat strangely.

"You have a good heart, Lisette, and I thank you kindly for that. Still, I've been like this long enough for my body to be used to it, and most of the time, it's not that bad. Attempting to alter it at this point would not be for the best."

The girl looked somewhat wistful as she finished up what was left of her coffee, which was already cold at this point.

"...You mentioned night traumas. Does that herbal tonic alleviate the symptoms, or suppress the nightmares?"

Lisette thought about what she said, and accepted her choice. Swir knew what would work best for her, and Lisette only hoped to help however she could. She hoped that the gesture was enough to show that.

I haven’t been asked that sort of question before. Lisette scrunched her face up in thought. How should I best answer that? She looked down at her wrist, and rubbed the leather bands absentmindedly.

“It helps—suppress it I think. I know when I run out of it, the nightmares just come back. And they, the dreams, get vivid the more it goes.” Lisette explained as best she could. “It’s been like this since I was a child. The church and the Saint Mother had trouble helping me sleep.” Lisette Sadly chuckled at the memory.

The wind gently blows through the horizon, as a white carriage with a insignia of a flower embedded in it pass through a lively city street full of people.

The petals of the cherry trees dances, along side the white carriage.

The commoners we're in awe as they wonder on who's persona is within.

But to their misfortune the person carried by elegant carriage never show them her visage, as the windows curtain prevent any gaze from passing through.

Eventually the white carriage reach its destination.

From there it Entered the gates of the famous magical school.

But surprisingly no one is there to meet its arrival, not single individual is there to greet the Mistress of the elegant carriage.

But its natural for this is all according to the Mistress wish... For she never wanted anyone's attention since the beginning.

Oblivious to anyone The eldest daughter of Claimh'Solais aristocrat family Entered the school.

As the Coachman wearing a nice garment open the door. A pair of pure white hand appear within the carriage.

Her pure white hair gently waves as the wind pass through her.

Adorning a humble white dress and a elegant pure red hooded cloak unbefitted to a lady of her status.

She gaze upon the school facility in front of her with her Bright red eyes.

With a silent nod Reciful Eustoma Von Claimh'Solais "the Enigmatic wallflower of Claimh'Solais family" begin her school year with a very very silent scene. just like what she wants.

"So the source of the nightmares trace themselves back to your childhood. I see..."

The expression on Swir's face could only be described as mysterious; the girl nodded slowly, picking up her tray. Right before she left, almost as if she'd forgotten, a string of calm, unhurried words drifted to Lisette's ears.

"Tonight, just before you sleep, Lizzy...get a lavender from the greenhouse in the afternoon to put on your windowstill, and leave the window slightly ajar..."

Lisette nodded absently, as she looked to Swir’s retreating form. “Lavender. Okay.”

She looked around in the cafeteria, realizing that she was one of the only few people still in there. A majority of the students had already gone to their classes. Almost in a frenzy, she jumped up in shock. “AHHHH I’m going to be late for class!” She shouted, and went to dispose of her tray and rush to her Ethics on Arcane class.

[Monday]

The patrol had gone smoothly, with no incidents occurring. Advanced History of Magic touched on some of the noble families' origins and how they had pushed forward the use and knowledge of magic over the centuries. Student Council was busy with a mad rush of students handing in forms to either join clubs, set up clubs, or some other miscellaneous things they wanted to do that required the help from the SC. The Secretary decided to do the evening patrol with me, saying it would be safer if we did it together since it was getting a little late at the time.

After the evening patrol, I said my goodbyes to the Secretary before having a shower and evening meal. I then immediately got into doing the homework the teachers had set, managing to finish the majority of it by the end. I picked up the purse I had been doing my magic embroidery practice on and continued the design I had in mind: a somewhat simple, yet elegant design of a peacock with its tail splayed out. Once 21:00 came, I placed the purse down - seeing that it probably needed one more session to complete - before I sat at the idol of the Goddess on my desk and began praying to her for a great many things. I prayed for good health to all of the students, I made some particular mentions for those I was closer with. One such mention was when I prayed for fortune to favour Lisette in her venture, I prayed for Lisette to keep her positive attitude and not let negative emotions inside.

It was at this time I remembered I was going to give her my First Year notebook and some ointment for her. Quickly finding both items, I left my room and headed to the First Years' section where I asked the Dorm Head where Lisette's room was. I placed the items in the letterbox of her room with a note stating what they were before returning to my own room to continue my prayer and religious contemplation. I ended my prayers by wishing that Swir's health would improve, then gave the final prayer wishing the Goddess would be in fine health herself and was ensuring she didn't overwork herself.

With my schedule for the day over, I got into bed, turned off the lights and went to sleep.

[Tuesday]

05:00 arrived and I woke up on the hour. I put on my morning exercise clothes before heading down for a light breakfast to keep my energy up for the day ahead. By 05:30 I had finished my breakfast and began heading towards the Trackfield where I did some warm-up stretches in preparation for the jogging. As I was bent over to reach my toes with my fingers, I felt a hand on my back that pushed me down before moving off.

"Ah?"

I straightened up and turned around to see the Secretary in some sporty-looking attire and a charming smile on his face. He said he thought I might have been struggling with reaching my toes because of...but he trailed off before he finished the sentence. His face turned red but I didn't notice since it was not bright enough to see the change in skin colour.

"Because of...?" I inquired, only for him to wave it off with an awkward smile before saying he just thought it would help before asking if I was doing morning exercise.

I giggled at him before motioning to the Trackfield around us, before pointing at my clothes, "I wonder what I would be doing here, if not for exercise~" I teased, which earned an embarrassed look from him. He asked if he could join me, to which I smiled, "Sure! The more the merrier! However, wouldn't my pace be a bit slow to be beneficial to you?" I asked while looking at his long legs, then at my average length legs.

My question earned his teasing smile as he mirrored my previous words of, 'the more, the merrier.' I smiled at him before we started jogging laps around the track. As I was jogging, I wondered if Lisette would turn up like the previous days or not. "I hope my notes and ointment helped." I thought as I finished my second lap.

First day in Academy - (Tuesday)

Due to her intentional late admission, lady Reciful start to join the academy lecture one day later than everyone else in the academy.

Due to such, it cause a little commotion. Creating a slight noises within the lecture hall when suddenly, she a new student who no one knows about pop up out of nowhere.

fortunately it did not became such a big deal as the disturbance immediately changed & became curiosity.

They are plagued by questions.

Who is that student?
Where she came from?
Why did the academy famous for its strictness allow a late admission?
Is she a high noble?
Or Is she one of those gifted commoners?
If she is a noble which family she came from?
Why she wears a hood that covers almost her entire face?

Many questions terrorized the mind of her fellow students. those who partaken the same lecture as her were tormented by such idle thoughts.

But to no avail none of their questions is left answered.

For they are nobles of various kingdoms. they upheld a high standing that represents the delicate name & pride of their prestigious family, unlike commoners they just simply can't go out their way & ask who she is & what family she came from, for it is a such a barbaric conduct for a nobility.

And Why is it so?

Cause it will be a absolute shame to not know a name of a fellow noble especially if the Mysterious hooded girl whom the academy allowed a late admission is in actually that of a high noble standing.

Unfortunately for them this world have no such tradition of introducing one self one by one on the first day of a student's class unlike the modern earth.

Not knowing the name of a noble of high standing is equal to being a incompetent blue blood, a shame of nobility.

But yet again, very very unfortunate for all of them as Lady Reciful is a noble of pure enigma unlike anything they nobles ever can imagine.

To start it all she never acted as a lady befitting of her status.

She never once participated in any gathering & party thus no one knew her visage at all, as she immediately reject one if she ever received a letter of invitation.

She doesn't socialize unlike normal nobility.

She even never hosted a party herself. she didn't even have a debut on her coming of age at all when she turned 15, all due to her Complex standing within her own family.

If Reciful carries the insignia of her family they will surely knew who she is immediately..... But once again unfortunately she currently has the hobby of dressing in a humble way she didn't bother carrying her family insignia at all.

They're all left to wonder unable to act until the lecture ends as Reciful quietly stand up & with a soft steps proceed to her next lecture leaving them all behind.

Lisette scrambled through the rest of her day is if a tornado had been nipping at her hells. Her Ethics of The Arcane’s class discussed quick a bit about the virtues and vices of using arcane in everyday life, and whether or not it would be appropriate to do so in some cases. She wrote similarly long notes as she had in her first class, making details on things she may forget later, with more than the occasional weird doodles here and there.

Some things never change.

Lisette remembered that her first Professor had thrown the chalk in her face for talking, which seemed like something most of these professors did to those who broke the peace in the class, or who happened to be ignoring the on going content. Wow, Veronika and the Secretary were right about these professors. Some are straight-laced as they come.

One of the girl’s beside her dropped her pencil bag on the ground beside her, and Lisette reached over to pick it up. She felt their finger tips touch as they both tried to pick up the dropped item.

“Ah—sorry” Lisette automatically said, as she was first to grab the bag. She handed it over with ease. The red-haired girl with the sharp eyes seemed alarmed, but accepted it with a silent nod. And proceeded to ignore her the rest of the time.

Lisette frowned, wondering if she did something wrong, and when the professor signaled their class was done, she picked up her stuff and left in a flurry.

Why do I—OH! OHHH!

Lisette remembered now, “That’s that girl. I didn’t even realize she was sitting next to me.“

Her day continued on despite that hick-up. Her combat class was filled with rowdy and good-natured people. Even Angelica and Alba were there too. Lisette would have said hi, but the professor had already split them into smaller two person teams and they were practicing stances and stretching for the first day. She was paired with another girl in her year, an athletic brunette with green eyes. She was definitely pushing Lisette to match her pace, but with her early morning activities, Lisette was able to match pace.

Once class was over, she waved to her friends, thinking back to what Swir said about the Lavender. The greenhouse would be nearby, so she jogged over as soon as she could. Her classes were over for the day, which made it easier escape Without much notice.

As she reached the entrance, Lisette found several second years tending to a plot of herbs. She approached them, asking if it would be possible to get some lavender. One quizzically looked to the other, before nodding. They pointed to one of the far plots, and they indicated that Lisette shouldn’t take more than what was needed. She agreed to the instructions and found herself in front of the “Lavender” section.

Taking care not to damage the plant or hurting anything around it, she was able to procure herself a small bit of lavender herbs, but didn’t exactly have a place to safely keep it. She was deciding whether or not to just hold them in her hand, when one of the older girls had come up to her and given her a small tote designed to hold herbs safely.

“Please, use this. If you need anymore, you can come back later—oh but not too late. This isn’t a safe place to be alone late at night by yourself.” Lisette nodded, remembering Swir’s seven wonder’s.

“Thank you!” With the herbs safely stowed, she bounded back to the dormitories, the thought of having dinner now was long gone as only sleepiness reigned her.

She made it back to her dorm, but didn’t see if Veronika had left something for her, so she went inside and cleaned up her room. She moved a few things away from the window and pushed the curtain back. Propping it open, she placed the open satchel filled with lavender at the crease, as the cool air brought in a herbal scent into her room. It definitely had a familiar smell, one she remembered the Saint Mother had for the other children.

It was later that night when Lisette checked outside her door once more, and there in her mailbox were the two things Veronika promised her earlier that day. Brightening up, she picked the notebook, ointment, and the written note out to peruse in her dorm.

She read the note, beaming as she applied the ointment to her forehead, and sitting down at her desk to compare her notes to Veronika’s. Her notes are so clean—and precise. Mine are all over the place—

Lisette pulled one of her spare notebooks to write a fresh new page of all of her notes to make them easier to understand. In the midst of reading Veronika’s notes, she found her answer to her homework by sheer coincidence. Lisette widened her eyes, “I mean—I guess that would be considered lucky.” She laughed, as she started to expand on the idea of using a permanent effect first on an item to increase the output of a temporary effect for a better critical against a specified target. She had thought initially that the two effects would cancel each other out, but then again, anything was possible with magic. I mean, look at me, I shouldn’t even be here. I’m not from this world.

Lisette looked to her open window, the night sky darkening with the moon high in the sky. Tomorrow’s Tuesday—TUESDAY! She jumped up from her chair.

“I have to find out about that piano tomorrow night!” Lisette turned off her lights, as she made her way to bed and hoped Swir’s suggestion would keep her mom away. She was incredibly lucky to have people willing to help her. She only wished she could provide the same.

Going back a few hours, to the afternoon of Monday...

"Where's the damn cat when you're looking for it...?"

Swir had attended a single class in the afternoon before popping out to look for 'that goddamned cat she should have thrown away'. It took her a fair bit of time.

"Oi, stupid cat, stop hiding."

"Meow."

It was on a branch above her head, lazing in the setting sun.

"Verdammt, stupid cat. Get down here, I need a favour."

The black cat ignored her request. Then again, it was a cat. It'd be strange if it understood.

"...Fine. Here you go..."

Reluctantly the girl set down a saucer of fish and a saucer of milk, and the cat nimbly leapt off the branches, landing on the floor.

Once it'd finished it's meal (rather leisurely), the cat now looked at her, almost as if it was waiting. Or asking.

"Even cats are bloody realistic nowadays...forget it. I need to borrow your sense of smell again, Cath Palug. There's going to be a room (@Tessa_Renalds) with only a single stalk of lavender tonight..."

Reaching into the folds of her clothing, Swir brought out a layered paper charm. There were various runes neatly inscribed within, and it smelled like flowers. Flowers after the rain.

ᚲᚨᛚᛗ ᛗᛁᚾᛞ
ᛞᚱᛖᚨᛗᛚᛖᛊᛊ
ᛖᚢᚾᛖᛁᚱᛟᛈᚺᚱᛖᚾᛁᚨ
And so on.

"...And I'm going to need you to put this under her bed. Don't make it too noticeable."

Having entrusted the task to the cat, Swir headed back to her room.

"As for how well it works...hopefully I'll get to know tomorrow. As for now...nacht."

Lisette slept, and slept, and slept — she probably would have liked to sleep more had she not felt the brisk cold morning air on her face. Her eyes bleary from just waking up, and a strange vision of a black tail flicking by the windowsill. She wondered if she was seeing things, but then she closed her eyes. It was the first night that she hadn’t been plagued by nightmares.

The stalk of lavender worked. She pulled herself up from her bed, staring out into the morning where the sun had barely started to rise. She stretched her arms up, and quickly threw on her running outfit. She ran by her mirror, and saw her complexion looked a bit better than usual.

“Let’s go for a run!” She made her way out to the track where she usually ran her morning laps.

Just as I and the Secretary began the step-up exercise, I noticed the cute Lisette arrive full of boundless energy. "She must have had a good sleep." I thought while giggling. Waving at her while smiling, I heard the Secretary click his tongue before muttering something under his ragged breathing but I didn't quite catch it. I turned inquiringly at him, wondering what was wrong but he just smiled before waving at Lisette, too. Seeing there was nothing wrong, I motioned for her to come closer.

"I was beginning to think you weren't going to come today. I hope my gifts proved helpful?"

[OOC: The Secretary will be called Isaac Clifton. Details on him are added in the lore thread. I'll be using his title and name interchangeably, as others can.]

After lunch with Lisette, Veronica, Mr secretary and that sleepy brat, I walked into the room and sat in the back of the class with my head resting on hand. The class started with mathematics equations I studied in year 10 in my past life resulting in me having 4 lines of note during the whole lecture. I just looked own into my book and doodled a bunch of arrowheads, pretending to be attempting the question on the blackboard.

Then, the combat class started with me getting paired up with another student that I would describe as musclehead. His name was Ryan. After the warm-up, instructor ordered us to practice our stance with a weapon. Since he didn't specify us to use a sword so I just pick a short sword why swing it around while my partner chose a giant practice sword chasing me around requesting me for a spar.

After Combat 1 class, I didn't have any more class today so I went to the cafeteria and took a light meal before returning to the dorm. I tossed my bag on the table and headed to the shower. Next, I did the homework for the enhancement class and went to sleep. 'It's was an eventful day.'

In the morning, Alba was staring at the ceiling with a vacant expression on his face. He recalled what happened yesterday afternoon in his bed. Then, he got out of the bed and went out for a workout in the track field.

Lisette ran forward as she was beckoned, she ecstatically went over her tales from the previous afternoon and evening.

"I almost thought I slept past my usual wake up time! I'm so glad I was able to catch you before you finished. I'm still a bit late, but better later than never!" She giggled happily. "Your notes were amazing! I can't believe how clean and pristine they were. I will have to work hard in order to keep up."

She also lifted her bangs to show her forehead, the ointment must have worked as the swelling had gone down significantly from last night.

As Lisette joined both Veronika and Isaac Clifton in their step ups when she spotted Alba working out nearby. "Oh hey! Alba!" Lisette with unseemingly amount of energy waved happily. "Good morning!" She smiled widely.

I smiled as I listened to Lisette recount her previous afternoon. I felt a little embarrassed by the praise she gave for my notes but managed to mask it with a grateful smile.
"I'm sure you'll be able to write better notes with practice. After all, Rome wasn't built in a-- ah, I mean kingdoms aren't built in a day." I felt my cheeks redden over my blunder of giving a saying from my previous life and hoped they hadn't noticed. Isaac looked at me quizzically before asking if he could see my beautiful notes, too. "Ah, you jest! Your notes are basically the same, silly."

Seeing that the red swelling had gone down, I was relieved since it would be a shame for such a cute girl to have a blemish like that. "I'm glad the ointment is helping, then."

"I slept as well as I normally do: peacefully. How about you, Mr Stahlburg?" I said as we started jogging around the track with the First Year.

I could have sworn I heard Isaac groan upon meeting up with Alba but I must have been imagining it. I noticed him ruffle Alba's hair before saying he slept much better after remembering Alba's smile, whatever that meant.

When she heard Isaac ask about seeing her notes, Lisette called out to her senior. "If there's time this weekend, we can all share notes! It could be an excellent opportunity to learn more about one another!" She suggested, and plus it would give them another opportunity to get together.

As they were making there way over to Alba's running form, Lisette's smile twitched, something Veronika said before caught her off guard. She had an appreciative expression on her face but her smile almost made her forget what was just said. Wait what? Did I hear that right? She had reached Alba by now, but she could have sworn she heard Rome. Last time she heard that saying was back on Earth.

Maybe I'm still waking up, I could have heard wrong. Yeah, I heard wrong! Lisette bounced back into her usual disposition. "I slept wonderfully!" She chirped to Alba's question, but heard a slight grumble that she could have sworn was a groan.

Seeing Alba arrive, I smiled at him.

Lisette looked to Isaac who had ruffled his snow white hair while they ran. As she jogged, she reached up to her own head almost pouting. She thought, I wonder how it feels to have your hair ruffled like that. Alba's hair must be so soft. Lisette snapped out from that train of thought immediately, her face red now from the thought.
