Bugs Hold Off on Adding Book Covers

I have an email from the administration that states it might be unwise to add book cover images to ANY books that were recently blocked.. The automated bot that is indexing books appears to have some burps with cover images, which is why so many books right now do not appear in search engine results, or in "Updated" lists.

I'm waiting to hear back to find out when this will be resolved. Stay tuned. *^^*

I am still waiting on responses from my emails.
None of my book covers are even acknowledging being looked at, so nothing is being accepted. I'm afraid to try too many times, and break the bot, and end up blocked out again. I'm trying to be patient. Did you read that, @Tony ? I'm trying to be patient. *^^*

@Tony hasn't gotten back to me through email as yet but strangely right now, I can't get any of my covers (that were approved before) to be approved/rejected now. Please tell me it's not just me. *^^*

My fear is that they care but they just don't know how to fix the issue.
That could be why I'm not getting replies. I'll understand if they can't fix it; there's several books that succeed without covers.
Just tell us they can't fix the issue.

alright, @Tony did reply about this about 30 minutes ago.. They have no idea what is causing the issue. They are claiming this is only affecting 3-4 people, but I maintain that it's much more than that. I think when they removed all my covers so that the search-engine issue was fixed, it prohibited me from adding other cover images. If people are uploading cover images, and not getting a notice of "accept/reject", please reach out to me, because we might all be in the same boat right now.

Update: I'm going to try something wicked. I'm going to logoff, clear my browser cache, and then sign back in again, and see if that has an effect on things. I hadn't tried logging off yet.

If what he is saying is accurate, I'm one of the "3-4 people." I'm STILL unable to add any sort of cover. I've tried a dozen times. I add it, i get the confirmation message saying "itll take a few hours" and then nothing. Still a blank cover.

No, it did not work. I'm in the same boat, hon. I'm trying to be patient while @Tony works on this. I'm a bit concerned that he might think "Oh, it's only affecting 3-4 people, don't bother fixing it for the good of the majority." But I don't think it IS.
Did you see the main page? Lots of trending and new series don't have book covers at all.
And I thought they did before.

I'm as confuzzled as you are. I even tried deleting one of my books and adding a new one from scratch, and had the same issue.
When I added a whole new project however, "Shifters", the cover came right up - though I NEVER received any word it was accepted.

I deleted my story. remade it. Cover came up instantly.

Any chance the covers were uploaded multiple times before approval, so they may be caught in a queue that only clears up when the document is "zeroed"?

It's possible. Maybe even likely. But surely something shouldnt sit in a queue for two weeks?

Bot's and automation is great. But it needs to be monitored at some point by a real person. Stuff like this is why.

I was FINALLY able to get a book cover accepted. I ended up displaying an entirely new image, devoid of anything similar to the previous images (which were accepted) maybe the bot is being REALLY picky about what passes for clean images. I'm trying another cover out to see what happens.

I'm slowly getting covers back. I guess it was just the content after all, but it still doesn't explain why I didn't have any acknowledgement that it was ever looked at.

For those still having trouble with covers, do a completely different one, and show nothing but faces or close-ups.
Seems to be working. I've had three accepted so far.
