Yeah, you're an asshole, knew that already.

That aside.

There are works that stated that they're translations in the synopsis, do those needed to be reported too?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only translations allowed are those linked to NU, and these ones usually don't show up when you search them up, and aren't qualified for trending, right?

So any work that is a translation that shows up in search, latest series, latest updates, and trending is meant to be reported.
Only those linked to NU, and they are the ones Tony approved. But they are soooo rare they you will never find them anyway... AS for those who have it in their bio? Yeah, they still go against the rule. They do not have the permission to translate the work. Report them aswell.

Yes. Any kind of translation should be reported. The only exception is if you yourself write in another language, and then translate your own story. But usually people don't mention it in synopsis.

*or have the approval of the author. I saw a story where someone translated a German story (not from this site) into English and had the approval from the original author. In short, report everything that can't prove they are allowed to.

I honestly don't know how to interpret this. You can be right.

I believe @AmbreaTaddy has (or was considering having?) one of her stories posted here that she originally wrote in her native French and was translating to English with permission. But generally this only works if you ARE the original author; proving permission is a tedious task if you are not.

I suggest all of you quit getting upset about what gets popular on the literal bottom of the barrel (this site). Use this place as an area to practice your writing, explore fetish/odd ideas, and get marginal feedback. Most of your readers are bots, most of the slop here is AI translated.

The webnovel space is either ceasepits like this, or cartels like RR where the big names control who gets trending, and more importantly who doesn't. Create for you, and your audience.

The idea of not seeing "slop" in the searches was one factor that turned the Royal Road in the most toxic place on the Internet.

You couldn't review bomb random people with puppet accounts and expect it would somehow make your searches better.

I get your point, and it's valid to an extent, but if it's let be, this site will get so choked full of AI generated works and translations rather than the very thing which Scribble Huh claims to be the home of—Originals.

The "home of the originals" is the slogan used by the Google Play shop app.

It never came up until Sailus Gebel used it as an excuse to troll everyone.

The site itself describes itself in Google as "This web novel hosting site allows authors to publish their stories and readers to discover new content. It offers a variety of genres and has an active community."

While "publishing their novels" - an emphasis of their - probably rules out translations, it doesn't rule out fan-fictions.

And when or where did I mention fanfics...?

We were clearly talking about the novels that were not "written" by the authors who posted them, i.e AI-generated works and translations.

Besides, I don't think the origin of the "Home of Originals" slogan matters, since scribble hub explicitly uses the name, it's only natural for it to want to be associated as such.

I wouldn't call a cesspit. Sure there are works that people call slop, but people have differing opinions on what is slop. For example, everyone who reads my work calls it slop and eventually drops it, but I'm 100 percent sure I'm writing only modern masterpieces. *this is what is called a joke for those without humor*

We also need better definitions for AI levels within written works.

1. AI Generated: Generated entirely by AI with user only offering prompt.

2. AI Generated with editing: The prompter edited the final result. This is on a scale depending on degree of human editing.

3. Partially AI written: This blends with two. This is on a scale depending on how much of the final product is AI generated. *If we ever get to the point where this is primarily what is being read and produced, no matter how high the quality, congratulations, we've played ourselves and effectively ended human culture*

4. Human written, AI Edited: AI programs used to heavily edit, rewrite, and refine text.

5. Human Written and Edited: Human written. AI was not used to edit or refine final product.

AI Exposed: Literally Everything That Touches A Computer These Days. So this category is irrelevant. This includes using a computer, internet, google search, spell check, grammar check, someone reviewed human work using AI but human made all the final decisions and edits, etc.

@beast_regards that site mentioned. Care to share your experience with cartels?

No, you are the one who troll people. I was, and still am worried about SH future, meanwhile you only care about brownie points and painting yourself as a victim. Example of painting yourself as a victim is accusing Tyrano of doing shit all while using alts and ask your buddies to downvote his story. Please, refrain from manipulating conversations in the future.

I take issue with some things said here. Namely the idea that majority of stories here are ai slop. It's not. Not even the most popular stories are AI. Using word processor is not the same thing as using AI to write. Anyone who makes the argument is disingenuous. And before you accuse me, I use neither docs or word.

If you see people violating the rules, report them. As God Howard said, "it just works." Sailus and I reported a ton of translations, and all were taken down. If you simply report them, they go away. Even if they had 300k views. Tony being the chad he is still took that 300k view translation that hit number 1 trending down.

Indeed, the third story in my signature is a translation of my own book from french to english, that I did after receiving the permission from the editor since it will never get translated officially anyway. But it's my own work, so I don't know how it applies here

It refers back to a discussion within the discussion about translated materials and permissions, etc.
