No. Anything with wuxia or xianxia is an instant discard for me. I hate cultivation
I just read one chapter of the number 1 cultivation novel on a whim. In the words of Steve Harvey, "It was everything I thought it was gonna be!!"

Seriously, I've had dreams with more believable plot developments. The characters were either sex dolls or playboys with teeny, tiny pebbles of bad-assery forced under poor dialogue. Waste of 5 minutes of my life. 2 stars.
They are all the same

Xian Wu. Shoved 15 eggs up his ass for 12 years and is now immortal and has the power to fight god himself. The stories are so bland abd predictable which is a shame really

No, their cliches and tropes are overused. You read one, and you've read them all.

I think what you are observing is what many of us observe also. The same problems. I was at first fascinated with Xianxia type of stories. But when I read them they are all the same. Like you said, the plots are too predictable.

But another thing many of us have noticed in xianxia stories is how brutal and cruel the protagonists are. And that's supposed to be the protagonist, not the antagonists. After awhile it wears you down seeing the hero is just like the villains. Its hard to explain this right but I'd seen other people describe this also, not just me. They steal from allies all the time too, and basically act without honor.

Ah yes, the "made in China litRPG" ones where the cooldown of their skills is already calculated in the names, so they can spam their heaven-defying-do-not-nut-on-donut-fist-of-heavenly-defying-+12 because the name alone is long enough to cover the cooldown timer.

The funny thing is, all those "reincarnated as evil young master" that were supposed to subvert it all don't do shit. MCs in those stories are the same kind of assholes really. The difference is, one layer of hypocrisy was peeled, but there are still many left.

it really depend though imo, there cliche but some of them invented those cliche
It's not only cliches that are the problem. Example. When I was reading ATG back on WuxiaWorld while WW was still free, 80% of the comments were guessing what will happen next correctly. Some of those guesses were about cliches, sure, but some of those were Tobi is Obito kind of mysteries that they guessed correctly. You get what I mean here? If you get it, that's what I meant by saying cultivation stories are predictable. There are outliers, but exceptions prove the rule.

Well there exception everywhere, in ATG there was some predictable plot, but there also some you didn't though would happen, like the brahma bitch. But, yes, a lot of them are predictable, that why I said the good ones like martial world or reverend insanity.

I used to read a ton, but right now I'm only into Mysteries of the Immortal Puppet Master, A Regressor’s Tale of Cultivation, My Longevity Simulator, Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor, and Outside of Time.

Having just queued up a xianxia fic... this thread does not inspire confidence.

These are some intense opinions.

Get ready for a story in which antagonists have the most shallow reasons for going after MC.
"He got a better score than me; he is courting death!"
"He got served before me in the restaurant; he is courting death!"
"His clothes are nicer than mine; he is courting death!"
"He befriended my friend; he is courting death!"
"He spoke to me; he is courting death!"

Chinese slop is in a breed of its own. Korean slop is just NTR, and Japanese slop is everyone having cheat skills.

If you look at the top novels, many of them are Xianxia and Wuxia. There are many people who are too vocal about them because the majority end up being the same thing. However, as long as you write it with passion and like what you write yourself, cultivation novels have a lot of potential.
