Yeah, if you go to Mexico, they make tacos with other meats. It's not just beef, pork, or chicken. You might see fish tacos, lamb tacos, iguana tacos, etc.
*sigh* I didn't know my food choices were so vanilla smh

Its not just you. Highly developed nations tend to have less food diversity than they did in history. Think of your history book: Americans used to eat bear meat; nowadays most people wouldn't even dare. People would eat doves too. Most natives ate snakes; they are apparently delicious, but we wouldn't know. Only a few European countries still eat horse meat.

The richer a country is, the more they rely on farmers and ranchers, which means the less that they'll hunt and forage. It's important to note that farmers and ranchers only focus on food that is either quick to grow or produces a high yield.
