My parents varied from hand, wooden spoons, rulers, to belts depending on what was closest when I was younger. Though it only happened a few times and I usually deserved it. For example, when my brother hit me with a train piece so I chased him around with the plastic and wood bridge train set piece that looked like a plus sign, throwing it at the back of his head in front of my dad. He still has the scar.

Have you experienced the sticks from the coconut broom, they may be thin but they are very painful and sometimes leave splinters.

My beater did not use a ruler, wooden spoon and cord. The rest were in use.

For ruler: it is because it is too short.

Same goes for wooden spoon, but a spatula was involved.

For cord, it might be that it was too expensive. Why use that when hanger exist.

It was edge and they stopped using the scale after I got cuts on thighs which made me unable to sit on chairs without being in pain.

I have.

It was edge and they stopped using the scale after I got cuts on thighs which made me unable to sit on chairs without being in pain.
