I don't know if this is appropriate. But I finished watching Twin Peaks yesterday. And today I looked at a review of it. At first I didn't like the third season, I thought it was too complicated and pointless. It didn't have what I loved. The atmosphere, the characters, Laura in particular. But I looked at the review, and I realized what Twin Peaks is. I realized that I initially looked at the series from the wrong side. This is not a story about a city and characters, it is a dream. A message to people about senseless violence on TV. About meaningless endings and sequels. The reason I wasted my time on season three is because it was designed to be that way. Or maybe I'm wrong. Only David Lynch knows. So yeah, I enjoyed that day

I have learned an additional thing today. And that is Roopkund Lake. Apparently, over 300 skeletons have been found there and tourists keep stealing them.

I learned that the reason the US was pissed about the Suez war was because it turned the attention from the brutal soviet handling of the Hungarian revolution to the not-so-subtle conspiracy of Israel, France and Brittan to invade Egypt.

Both of these things happened in 1956.

Today I learned about the author Anne Perry who won awards for her writing. She also brutally murdered her mother with a brick when she was a teenager.

Apparently some people, somewhere between 3% and 21% of the population, have a variation in their genes (OR6A2 gene) which makes them associate cilantro (coriander)with unpleasant taste like a combination of soap and vomit with a smell similar to the fowl smelling odor emitted by stink bugs.

They feel like this because of the presence of aldehyde chemicals, which are present in soap, various detergents, coriander, and several species of stinkbugs.

So today I learned (or rather, yesterday and totally forgot about it til this morning) that there is a rumour going around the town I grew up in that my brother is dead. So... someone called him to ask him if he had died. And I mean that seriously. She asked him if he had died yet without the hint of a laugh or "hahah, I'm joking".

I'm secretly a multi billionaire.

I suffer from Dyslexia and Dyscalculia

I'm a immortal snail.

Which of the three choices is true and false?

What I learnt today is that most people don't understand anything besides the common things behind learning disabilities.

I learned today that it is now a requirement for climbers to pick up their poo in biodegradable bags while climbing Mount Everest. It makes sense but it's still something that had me giggling like a twelve-year-old.

I learned that when the USS Nautilus, the world's first nuclear submarine was created. Soviet television broadcasted that it wasn't real. That a nuclear reactor was the size of a city block so there was no way they could make one for a ship.

I also learned that Edward Teller, the father of the hydrogen bomb always said, "We will have a war with the soviets in the next 5 years" Five years would pass and he'd keep saying the same thing. Apparently he wanted a war with the USSR because he lost his family in his home country.

Apparently a tiara's history matters. The queen decides which tiara's suits a Lady. Her majesty lends it to them for life.

For example, Meghan Markle was rumored to want to wear a tiara with emeralds in it at her wedding. However, the queen refused her because that tiara had history with Russia and she wanted to make sure to pick one that suited the dutchess of sussex
