some middle aged guy woke Benji up when he kicked the tavern door open, which stirred the boxed tavern entrance dweller awake. as Benji slowly got up, he realized the sun was still up, and that means the nightpost wasn't open yet.

unable to fall asleep again, he started sketching everything that passes his by his box

Looking at the book, Luna could feel its ancient vibe radiating out.

"I don't know why you are so obsessed with that book, but be careful. That book gives me a strange feeling." Luna was in no obligation to persuade anyone to do anything. After all, everyone had their priority, and she respected every decision, even if they were to regret it.

It was a for a feint Mili-second but an eye seemed to have appeared and looked over Luna before dissipating, almost as if just an illusion but Leti did not notice it.

"It's something that needs to be discovered~!" I put the book back in my backpack before I seemed to regain a bit of my calm "I'll be careful, thanks for the advice!" I smiled and I really meant it, I did notice I was a bit eager, but its just that everything is new! I think.

"Wise person? I like that title. I'm just an adventurer whose circumstance is slightly troublesome that other. Although my name is Solet' Luna, I'm Luna, while the other is Solet. It's hard to explain, but you'll know when you see him." Luna introduced herself while thinking about the instant when she laid her gaze onto the tomb. Somehow, a chill rushed through her spine, filling her body with an impending sense of dread, before vanishing without any trace.

Luna revealed nothing but a smile and decided to mark this book as a thing of interested for later.

I was a bit confused then I saw the mask, Ah? Maybe it's a self-reproducing Human species variant! I nodded to her "Every wise and famous person had a troubled past!" I was of course thinking about the story books I read, and thought of tragedy. Perhaps she was kicked out of her small self-reproducing human village for wearing a mask? Maybe she has a cursed red eye that the villagers at home mistook for the seal of the evil god!

I enjoyed thinking about it for a few seconds before asking her "I'd like to learn from you." Maybe the request was too demanding, but this person seemed competent, the way she made the old man leave before was really cool. I waved my hand flusterdly "If It's not too much, for compensation I'll work for you, if you need money for it I'll pay!"

Something, maybe my intuition told me that It'd be some time before I could encounter another person that might mentor me. I thought of that furry eared girl but I felt that she was a bit more appropriate as a senior sister rather than an instructor.

As she said that, Luna took out a copy of the book called "Luna's Little Tome of Knowledge Regarding Fundamental Mana". She loved to record her knowledge in a book to refresh her memory every once in a while.

She had encountered too many forbidden secrets, and anyone who interacted too much with her would be implicated, and she would not want that to happen.

*.*) "Aye Aye!" I gingerly held the tiny book as if it might fly away and vanish if I kept my eyes off it for long enough. When I heard her kind words I smiled happily "I'll make sure to learn everything in this book and return it to you!" Unsafe to be associated with? that must mean she's the main character! I shook my head from some delusional thought but the thought still was stuck at the back of my mind.

How to awaken it? do I need a water-fall? I'll try that meditation thing when I go to that closet I rented for the day. "When I learn more I'll become your apprentice then!" Knowledge was power after all, Maybe she's testing my resolve?

"In fact I'll learn this and study it and return tomorrow! Have a good rest!" I left the tavern almost skipping while in high spirits, I'll take this test face on!

as Benji sketched his sketches, an idea flashed into his head. for all his life, he had been oblivious to the spread of humour. the idea of jokes and gags he knew, but never understood.

But, in this one farce moment, something pitched a beautiful idea in his head. Many reasons may be factoring this. Maybe some unconscious train of thoughts rammed straight through his dense, oblivious mind. Maybe he finally grew a blink of humanity within his boxed head. Who knew? The only thing he knew, however, was the idea

he has to act fast, though, as there will be many naysayers that will act against his ideals

getting onto his feet, he dashed to the quest board to get a copy

though Benji may be illiterate, he managed to sketch down the words curve by curve, line by line, and tittles by tittles

"This lantern here, I found it in the graveyard after investigating it from your last report about it.

"Although something about it seems to have changed... I can't quite explain what, but I don't believe it is a mundane lantern anymore. It possibly happened due to staying for too long in the border between the world of the living and the one of the dead.

"... At least that's what I believe in. I'm afraid I don't know much more about what could have happened to this item aside from that, but since it was yours, I believe I should give it back."
