Say... is my character considered talkative type? I want to write a silent type honestly.

I want to create a relationship like fran/shishou in reincarnated as a sword, with Meiko being the silent one and the disembodied voice in her head being the talkative one. If possible, any tips on how to differentiate them in writing? As far as I remember, she only said one word since coming to the city.

Oops. I'll edit it a bit on my end.

It is nothing like an emergency, but I thought that I should submit some information regarding the main temple.

Since I've been sleeping in the temple for a while, I had plenty of time to gather the names (or rather the titles?) of the many gods inside. There are... some... many devouts that didn't want to share anything about their gods unless I joined their cult, so I couldn't gather most of the names, especially the ones that are in the more... difficult section of the temple. But some other altars are smaller and by the sides, and the names of their gods are written above or on their altars or preached by their devouts very openly. And as for the largest cults, I didn't even need to ask them since everyone knew of them.
So here's the ones I've gathered... I'm not sure if I've collected even 10 or 20% of all the gods in the temple. There are also many duplicate names, so it is very confusing.
It's also unknown whether these gods are native to Toria or if they came from the otherworlds, since many claim that their gods are always with them, it makes it very difficult to ascertain their nativity. But I shall list all the ones I've learned of anyhow.

God of Flames,
Iron Mother,
God of Fire (Different altar from God of Flames),
God of Fire (2) (different altar)
Goddess of the Waters,
God of Life,
Goddess of Life (different altar)
Life God, (Different altar)
Healing God,
God of Light, God of the Light,
God of Light (different altar,)
God of Games, God of the games,
Goddess of Gaming (different altar)
Gamer God (different altar),
Three Gods of Life,
Four Life Jewels, Four-eyed Jewels.
Goddess of the Wind.
God of the Wind.
Patron of Storms,
Gumgra (God of Storms, but also of love, apparently)
Mecha God (not very sure what this means),
Machine God (different altar),
God of Machines (different altar),
Goddess of the Machine (different altar),
God of the Machines (different altar),
God Machine (Different altar),
God of Fruits, God of Apples,
Goddess of Flowers and Fruits,
Orange Goddess,
God of Lakes,
Goddess of Fresh Water,
Dragon Queen, Winter Dragon.
Dragon King,
Dragon's King (Different altar)
Draconic King (also a different altar)
King of Dragons (different altar)
Dragon of the Rivers,
Emok (Snake God)
Fishes (God of Fishing and harvest)
Fudam, God of Lumber,
God of the Wood,
Fairy Queen, Fae Queen, (altars are connected).
Queen of the Fae (different altar)
Elfmother (One of the kinder elf cults...)
Yeldei (Goddess of the Dead)
Sunset Queen.
Ghost of the Setting Sun (Apparently a God)
Morning Chick (Deity of Energy),
Durdu (They call them Dru, a Goddess of Spears)
Receiver of Death (Death cult, but apparently they handle some of the funerals for free)
Exie (They worship Pixies, they are one of the farthest away from the central altars)
Queen of Pixies (different altar, but they seem to be close to each other)
Demon King,
Demon King (different altar)
Demon God (different altar)
Chaos,
God of Chaos (different altar),
Darkness God,
Darkness Devil,
God of Terror,
God of Wars,
Gods of War (different altar),
Goddess of Battle
Undead Goddess,
Undead Goddess of Battle,
Battle God,
...

I don't think I can fit more into the submission paper.
Also of note, there seems to be three distinct factions in the temple. Although they all agreed to work together in Scribel, I can sense the tension filling up in the air whenever a priest meets a cultist. The third faction seems to be apathetic to the other's feuds.
Mecha God (not very sure what this means), :sweating_profusely:, wait until some level 2 guy with a mech starts killing dragons and stuff.
God Machine (Different altar), Please don't be ultron.
Receiver of Death (Death cult, but apparently they handle some of the funerals for free): How kind of the death cult.

Could you do me a favour and edit the God(s) of Light out? Also, if possible I would like God(s) of Darkness too. I've been creating the storyline to expand upon the demon cult and the church of the god of light, and in my report, as well as a library entry, at least the believer of the God of Life and some others had no idea about the named God of Light. No Gods had claimed the ownership of Light before.

Basically, God of Light is non-existence to the current level of our intelligent network. Forbidden subject, taboo secrets.

Also, handwaving in so much new information is not really that great or interesting. I know it's not against the rule, but uncovering tons of lore instantly without any build-up is not that great of a world-building.

  • (optional) corroborated and discover details of the western region, found in the Blood stained Journal
Description
Recently, the adventurer Zorion was attacked while he was on duty at the Asteria relay station by individuals dressed in light nomadic garb. The guild has reason to believe the attack had something to do with a short bow.

Our staff sensed trace amount magic on the bow but were unable to decipher the reason for it, nor ascertain its relevance. Feel free to examine the bow if you wish, but it will be ill advised to take it with you on your quest.

The guild would like you to head to Asteria Village. Use the village as base and investigate rumours and the movements of the nomads and become familiar with the various powers of influence in the region. Find out why the nomads want the bow or the person that owned the bow.

If the rumours and hearsay in Zorion’s report holds true, the western Region beyond Asteria is a tinderbox of political and military tensions. Tread with care and avoid combative scenario. If experienced warriors described in the report roam freely in the western region, most prolonged hostile engagement might prove to be fatal.
Reward
EXP:

*Quest is repeatable until, there is enough information to create a quest to resolve the Nomad's bow mystery.

With so many isekai'd people coming in, I doubt that there isn't one (1) god of light worshipped in the temple. It could be that the priests of the God of Life simply doesn't acknowledge the gods other than their own. There's also the possibility that many or most of these cults are isekai'd. Who's to say that all the gods here are simply irrelevant? I came up with this post simply just to show the extent of the temple, not the validity of the cults themselves.
But alright, I'll remove the two.

:blob_hmm::blob_hmm::blob_hmm:... I am wondering about rewards firstly,
secondly if it should be a party quest or not
lastly, if there are enough proms in it for people to create their own answer, and not get pigeon holed in to my answer.

Thanks. Your point should have worked, if not for the fact that my reported came just a little before yours. The believers of the God of Life, at least from my report, acknowledge the other gods, but they had no idea about any gods that claimed ownership of Light.

Anyway, I'll be writing reports to get a name for my mysterious God of Light so that we could avoid confusion over which Gods are which.

Sorry for some inconvenience. I did not expect anyone to extend the lore regarding myths so massively that our path accidentally crossed. :blob_happy:

Waking up after a fun weekend of exploring areas around the river, I decided it was high time I went and took another quest. Not because I'm running out of money, but instead because I still needed to find a forest to settle down in. It just didn't feel right to live anywhere else, you know? As for the money, sleeping on a bed of grass and eating goodberries means a girl can live on her own with no worries!

So, for today I chose to gather some spider silk from Silverface Spiders. The reason being that they're located in the forest! Sure, I was going in alone aside from Hana, but it should be fine thanks to my innate ability to speak to animals and curry friendship with them! It's going to be a peace of cake! With that in mind, I headed into the forest in search of a spot to live and for spiders!

~~~~~
Why did I ever think this was going to be easy? Then again, I don't think anything could have prepared me for a dragon ruling the entire forest and controlling the trade in it.... Which also means that I'm out of luck with befriending them easily. In fact, I'm nervously shaking, holding Hana as she licks my face to try and calm me down as I face an emerald green dragon that's four times my size and is clearly not happy with me for intruding upon his land. Psyching myself up, I speak in Draconic, "O Great Old One, how may this little one address you?" I learned a bit how to deal with dragons from my friends in the forest before I left for civilization. Hopefully this was enough to appease him.
"Oh? Not using Common speech? And with manners as well?" The dragon bellowed, hurting my ears. He seemed to be genuinely shocked. Do people not speak Draconic here? "Ah, sorry. Guess I got ahead of myself. My name is Basilgaraad, and I rule this forest. What purpose do you have for intruding here?"
Coughing, I reply, "I'm here for a quest by the Adventurer's Guild and for personal business. For the guild I must acquire ten Silverface Spider's worth of spider silk. As for myself, I was hoping to find a place to live in the forest. If that's not possible, then I'm sorry for taking up your time." I'm astounded that I never stuttered while saying that! Thank goodness Hana is here with me, if not for her I'd be shaking all over!
"Hm...yes. Well, I can't exactly just give you the silk, nor would I be able to let you live here without some sort of payment. What exactly would you have to offer?" Basilgaraad responded.
"If I would be allowed to impose, I can provide information of a different plane of which I originate. Furthermore, I'd be able to help you set up a trade route within the forest. It should allow you to amass a treasure hoard. Lastly, I'd promise to five you a 10% cut out of all of my quests. That's all that I can offer for now due to my limited strength, though I should be able to accomplish more in time as I learn more about the druidic ways of my ancestors." I grew a bit more confident over time, hoping that I'd be able to live in a forest once more.
"That's a tempting offer, I suppose. Though, why would you be willing to go through this much, Miss...?" The dragon stops, perhaps realizing he never caught my name.
"It's Lily, O Great Old One. As for my reasons, it's primarily due to a desire to live in a forest once more. You see, as a child I was raised by animals instead of my parents. I was most likely abandoned at birth, and thus find the forest to be a lot more comforting than the bustle of a city. It's also why I never learned the common tongue of others, as you noticed in the beginning of our conversation." Still growing in confidence, I decided to answer his question as truthfully as I could.
"So, Miss Lily, you're willing to risk your life for a sense of belonging?" He asked yet again. This dragon sure is inquisitive, is he not?
"In a sense, yes? I just can't sleep in an inn at all, and a bed of moss or grass suits me much better. So, do we have a deal?" I asked, extremely hopeful.
"Well, Miss Lily, I am extremely interested in your stories, so how about this? I'll give you the spider silk you need as a token of trust, and you can come back later for us to discuss how you'll pay me back. Sound good?" Wait, that's all? Seriously? Uh....
"Yep! That works for me, O Great Old One! I'll happily go and turn in the quest, then! You can expect me back here soon!" I said before taking the silk and heading back to the guild.
@Ddraig probably wants to look at this himself. Anyway, I'll be heading to bed now.
Dammit! Someone stole it right under my nose!
Yes, and I doubt it could lead anywhere. I wouldn't have done this if i were say, in the dwarven city, where there are much more locals.
I didn't mean to extend the lore actually! I only wanted to show how confusing the main temple could be. A literal mess with countless strange gods. Although they are grouped up in the main temple for i assume charity work, it would be difficult to join a genuine, native cult of Toria. I was thinking that it might incentivize mages and priest-classes to depart to other cities in search of local magic and local gods that work better than isekai'd powers.
Your whole thing about the guild carefully evaluating your character, putting him to test and asserting his powers feels uhn... Really really really weird. I don't think the guild would have any reason to do any of that, ever.
As a rule of thumb, if you just want to register... Well, you're registered, that's all there is to it, no need for any specific evaluation or anything of the sort.
I had a story behind the character but since I don't want to openly state it out, I just simply left some clues in this sort-of scenario I thought of for the build. It isn't a big-lore claim kind of thing is it? Should I completely rewrite it?
Your character being totally invincible and having invulnerable items feels uhn... Well, wrong. I mean, I get that you balanced it with the fact that your character isn't able to harm anybody, but in an open-ended roleplay, it's generally frowned upon to have anything that is invincible/invulnerable and the like. Absolute statements in general are a bad idea actually.
I imposed a self-ban for any activities requiring direct physical battle or any sort of battle at all. I built this character to conduct only menial tasks like nightwatches and scouting. But if it's not enough I can always change it albeit a bit reluctantly but I'd do it
Him having an item box (the green sack thingy) that can carry an infinite volume/weight of things that are not listed on your character's sheet at all feels very very cheap. It means you essentially have an item-box-ex-machina for any and every situation your character can be put at.
I probably should've stated that Little Green Bag does not store items, but rather Benji can pull shit out of it. Benji couldn't even control what come out of it or when he wants things pulled out of it. It's a total RNG that sometimes helps him (rarely) or send him to Shithole Population One (like a alarm system in a scouting mission). He can only store limited items like his graphite sticks and books; sometimes rations; but never ex-machina items. Trust me, I know what I'm doing with this. This feature is in no way an ex-machina.
As for Shrug, the ability is that Benji cannot be harmed, but he can be caught and dealt with by anyone with stronger stats. Which means you can't kill him, but you can trap him in a steel cage and starve him. This may seem OP, but the same time, whatever attacks Benji throws at people is useless. Not even force. It's basically him punching immovable objects. He can't harm people, and vice versa. But he can't move people, but people can move him. To put it in layman terms, Benji can't take candy from a baby, but a baby can potentially take candy away from him. I built this ability off the idea that the antagonists my build faces off in scenarios has to be creative in the ways they trap him. But if it's considered too outlandish and cheat-like, I can totally change it.
Well, it's also my oversight that I forgot. I didn't think that the otherworlders would bring their faith over to this world, resulting in our conflicts in storyline and lores.
