There is the quest to check Donald's cabin which definitely has stuff to do with the slime horde. Just take a look at it, I think you'll find the lore pretty interesting

Not that I disagree, but it's impossible for Nene to take any quests related to that due to the nature of her character, so... I can only cheer you all on from the sidelines! Ganbatte!!!

Wait, what! All this time I've been quoting the entire quest report message, finding the quest I wanted to take, and deleting the unnecessary part in between the QUOTE tags. Gah, I could've made things so much simpler for myself lol
