RepresentingEnvy here, aka Hans.Trondheim, bringing you the 12th installment of ScribbleHub Forum's Lore! This time, @gogo7966, @tiaf, @Prince_Azmiran_Myrian, @ArrogantYoungMaster. @RepresentingEnvy, @ElliePorter, @Aaqil, @Lloyd, @SailusGebel (as his GB version, Gebelina-hime), @APieceOfRock, @TheEldritchGod, @K5Rakitan, @TrashyHuman, @Anon2023 and @greyblob are featured!

Your opinion is as controversial as white bread but I will respect it
Centrally planned economies only work if I’m the dictator.

On a serious note, it solely depends on how good leadership is. North Korea and Venezuela are some examples of centrally planned economies that suck, while China is on the down turn but did well for a while.

USA is trying to become a centrally planned economy right now, hence all the bad economics going on.

I promised Gebel that I'll stop, but do consider that those countries are literally bullied into isolation and poverty and most of what you know of them has no grounds in reality.

Both those countries have arable land and natural resources. If you were talking about Iceland or Singapore being bullied then maybe you’d have a point, but isolationism isn’t an excuse with all their resources.

It’s more their terrible leadership.

Note, I actually believe centrally planned economies can work with good leadership. It’s just easier to get out of poverty if the government protects its people while the people can practice non-violent capitalism.

Arable land - yeah, those countries don't starve (despite what the popular media tells you). Natural resources? The DPRK uses eco-friendly renewable sources of energy like wind - with one of the biggest reasons for it being that they can't get fossil fuels.
I'm no expert on these countries' politics though. Do tell me, what examples of their "terrible leadership" do you want to talk about, and why they are so horrible and I will take my time and search through reliable sources and explain these circumstances.
Maybe then we can talk about it beyond "DPRK bad" "No it good" "No bad!"
