Pregnancy isn't always bad. I mean, gestational diabetes sucks, and I know other pregnant people have had other complications, but the prize you get at the end is pretty awesome. Still, if you get a vaginal tear that needs stitches, it's not advisable to have sex for two weeks. Doesn't being a succubus come with exceptional healing power, though? The healing power means that diseases are not really a problem, so I think I'll take my chances with being a succubus. I'll carry my babies from town to town and live a nomadic lifestyle.

So I've read stories where being a vampire, werewolf, zombie, demon, unexplainable blob, centaur, god, snakemen, unexplainably tall men/women, wizards, witches, and reindeer came about due to a curse. I can also now add succubus to the list because I'm writing the only story that I've seen where they came about due to a curse and they're existence is, lets just say, complicated. There's probably more, but not any I've seen.

What I'm wondering is what monster you would like to be the most, but in turn you have to inherent all the negatives with it. Example: Want to be a sexy succubus? Well then you have to deal with having constant need for sex in a world where std's, pregnancy, and everything bad relating to sex is prevalent and where people shun you if you have more than one partner. If you don't have sex you die within a few days.

Cthulhu? How about that.

I'm not a knowledgeable person in Lovecraft but I know a bit about Cthulhu so here's my best curse.

You are an eldritch being that looks upon the world with an omniscient presence. You have lived for eons, seeing the universes creation and will live to see its death. There is nothing that can rival your power except the other eldritch beings that calls this universe home as well. But, despite all that power and knowledge outside of the realm of imaginations of mortality, you feel empty.

I assume you meant "Sentience" there? Anyway, sounds more like a blessing to me. I am often overburdened by my own mind. Sounds quite liberating to be free of it. Though uhh, not much of a curse thinking of it straight either is it? If you lose your own mind, you don't realize how badly off you are. That works for say, a Werewolf because they still have their original form that can fear for what their beast has done when it was in control. But in this case, without my own mind, is there really anything left of me to consider cursed?
