Take advice only if it work and flow with your story. Give your advisor gratitude.
Or just only ask for feedback corrections instead.
Make your story your gold, not your prison cold.

If you feel like you can't win against your weaknesses, double down on your strength:

If you're a procrastinator, look for data, new materials, tips and advices to do what you need better. It puts you at equilibrium between improvement and production.

If you're unable to stick to a plan, lose yourself into the flow of creativity until you've done what you had to.

If you're crazy and cringy, slam it into the world. Dunk it at full power and walk away without looking at the explosion. (Also erase all your fingerprints on the scene)

Everyone is made differently. People don't pay the same price when they sit down at a desk to write, draw, study, work, etc. It depends on skills and individual tastes, so don't worry too much about other people's methods.

Be bold, try a new haircut, try new clothes, ask that one girl/guy out that you couldnt before you never know right? Do new things, don't sit at home those things will become memories and experience you'll find yourself more friends and life more fun.
And most importantly don't be stupid, being outgoing is fine and all it'll put a smile on your face but being stupid will probably land you in jail with a frown on it instead.

Study philosophy, philosophy is useful in guiding your path in life. Making you less gullible, wiser, have common sense and more confident.

Books gives you experiences in many fields, you just have to read it. And it's not only non fiction books that's useful even fantasy books can make you know a thing or two about politics and economics. So spent some time reading.

Watching the news, watching the news might be boring (not for some people though), but they provide us with valuable intelligence. Like some company fuck ups and some disasters here and there, all of this is opportunity maybe you can use it to invest in the stock market, bit coin or other stuff. Also make sure that your news provider is trust worthy otherwise you'll end up brainwashed like most americans.

First, I would say that don't let others kill your passion. If you are really passionate about something, like writing, gaming, or whatever, do not let others belittle you for "wasting your time on useless things" or anything of the like. Money and fame are the great equalizers, after all. If you can find a way to make it productive in a tangible way (even in the slightest manners), you can at least have something to push back to those doubters' faces. You don't have to a billionaire streaming or be a bestselling author, but as long as there is a tangible anything, even something as "casual" as a low-reach blog, that can help shut those doubters up a bit.

Second and somewhat related to the first point, I would say that tact is becoming a lost art, and we should work together to bring it back. We don't have to always agree, and we don't have to always say good things or like each other even, but calling someone's ideas a "dumpster fire" will lead to conflict, whereas if you went with something like "I don't think this is working out..." before explaining your points, the results will be better. Honesty is not an excuse to be an asshole.

I have seen people who had way too much of that "honesty" when they're young, and it makes me sad to see what they've become.

"Life is full of Hardships. Don't expect someone would pat you on the back since they might stab you instead. Find someone who would stab you on the front instead as your likely be more safe than those who wouldn't stab you." - Grandpa Blade

"I am not educated and only Graduated Highschool. Live life to the best and and know that while you always feel pain, you do not back down and give up. Boxing is to push yourself to the limit and never strive to win, strive to give your best. Life is also boxing so strive to live your best." - Arcadia's Caretaker

"Son, while you see the darkness of the world, do not limit your goals and start building stairs instead. In the darkness of politics, life is just an estimation and do not become part of it." - Father Blade

"My Child. Your suffering and being talentless isn't a weakness you had to endure. Make it a weapon and forge a blade called Determination instead. Your will is stronger than your siblings, hardwork is mightier to compare to your father's cunningness and you have the heart to rival my faith to the god. You don't see the potential you had in you but even if you are left alone in the darkness, continue forging that blade and pass it on to someone who also lacks the same resolve as you." - Mother Blade

"Arcy, even if I'm smarter than you, you have something that I don't. Creative and determined, you forge a path to which others had to choose. Be sure to spread to others who are like you." - Second Brother Blade

"Little Bro, life isn't just to struggle. you only need to find the fun in it to succeed." - Big Bro Blade

"Death isn't a concept to be accepted but be feared. If you do not fear death, you come to fear life instead." -Sister Blade

and finally....

"In darkness, no one will care for you, no one will love you and after all that, you slowly begin to snap. Life is brutal and most just took the easy way out. However, while you are still alive, do not be afraid of things you cannot accept. Life is full of something to discover and there are many things uncovered that you only touched on the surface. Faith, Science, philosophy and psychology can be put on the side as life is to discover the spark of something you are born with. You do not need money, talent and drive to life, you only need to discover what you want to do and even if you come to regret it at the end, that only means you have mark a footnote on earth where you once lived and died. Everyone is born ordinary, you only need to find the unique side of yourself and have fun living." - Arcadia Blade

The best advice is not to take advice.

"You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist."

— Friedrich Wilhem Nietzche.

Many people will disagree with this because it suggests "irresponsible freedom" in a way where you can do everything, be it evil or good.

But that's not the point. There's common sense, stringent laws, and the godly Ten Commandments, of course, but when right clashes right, then that's where you can say, "Bro, that's your way. This is my way."

I'm tired of those exhausted Stoicism quotes and other Chinese philosophies, low-key convincing you to act like them. I've tried being a stoic, but now I just don't care anymore. (Wait, what?) Friedrich Nietzche is better than Marcus Aurelius, fight me.

So yeah. Do you.

Idk how old you are, but unless you're in your seventies, I'd say you're still young. Don't fear failure and explore, the younger you are the more room you have for exploration!

If you're in high school, find out what you can do only at that age and try it out!
If you're in college, take extra classes (P/NP if you're in America, or its equivalent elsewhere) in unrelated fields just for the sake of it, especially if you're taking full credit anyways (which would usually mean you don't need to pay more for extra classes).
If you're done from college/won't be going/are working, find out what classes you can take for cheap/join new communities you've been interested in/pick up a hobby, any hobby/. Just keep trying, and do it not to succeed but for the sake of trying! :D You never know where things will lead you, and even if it doesn't and you find out you hate it, hey, at least you know now that you hate it.

There's so much to do out there that it's sometimes overwhelming, and nothing's stopping you but yourself (and circumstances, but there are also stuff that won't need monetary support, like joining new communities or trying new hobbies like drawing).

Don't give a damn about what anybody says. It's fine to take constructive criticism but that doesn't mean change your life because someone else doesn't like the things you like or do. It's your life, your story, not theirs. If they don't like then it's best you cut them off.

Also, live positively. Try to find the silver lining in everything. It's better to be upbeat and positive in a bad situation than sad and depressing.

The two quotes in my signature. The first one is my main driving force as a creator and has helped me through some tough times.

Also, live positively. Try to find the silver lining in everything. It's better to be upbeat and positive in a bad situation than sad and depressing.
☝️And this. I try my best to live by this every day.
