Multiple people saying the same thing at once: thoughts about double-double quotes?

I've never seen that done in any of the multiple books I've read. It is certainly breaking new grounds. I think it would have me as a reder thinking about the conventions and where that usage comes while pulling me out of the story. Which is generally bad.

I recognize it when I see it, but it's used so rarely it's probably not worth using alone.

However, it might work to put several such exclamations on the same line like this:

"Fuck!" "He must've-" "He killed him!" "Stop him!" "Don't let him get away!" """"Shoot him!""""

The multiple quotation marks become obvious when next to the normal ones, and having them on the same line makes it clear they're all happening at once, especially if you use a dash to cut a longer sentence off (indicate that the others are talking over him).
